ON THE ROAD | Baja California Food & Beverages

We often receive inquiries about our provided meals and beverages on the Baja California Surf Excursions, so here we go...

Q: Do you provide all the food?

A: We provide 3 meals a day, plus an array of snacks and fruit to keep you energized for multiple surf sessions. We pick up the tab at our favorite restaurants as well!

Q: What kind of food do you provide?

A: Breakfast consists of coffee and pastries, eggs, toast with avo, or granola with nut milk or dairy milk, almond butter, dates, shredded coconut, and a lot of healthy snacks for the trip, including apples, oranges, bananas, mangos, and trail mix.

Lunches are often tacos or burritos from a local source, or handmade around camp, and typically include sauteed peppers, onions, mushrooms, and/or steak with fresh salsa and guacamole, and since we are in Mexico, we love to sample as many taquerias as possible, so we always pick up the bill at every taco stand we visit.

Dinners are large and filling, with an emphasis on healthy ingredients. Options include, grilled vegetables, sweet potato fries, potatoes, steak, fish, rice, beans, and plenty of salsas, guacamole, and always plenty of white and blue corn tortillas. We either cook dinner over the bonfire, or visit our favorite local restaurants.

Q: What if I am vegan and gluten-free?

A: No problem! Be prepared to eat a lot of fruit and veggies. We have several options including mushroom bell pepper tacos with rice and beans, or some quinoa pasta with garlic pesto sauce. We completely embrace all requests: vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free or allergies. Make sure to mention this when booking, specifically in the 'Booking Form.'

Q: What drinks are included?

A: We bring plenty of purified fresh water for drinking and cooking, as well as a few cartons of coconut water to pour over ice at your leisure. If you are 21 years of age, we provide a cooler stocked with Mexican lagers of your choice, and a couple handmade, fresh lime and mango margaritas each evening.

Q: How many beers can I have a day?

A: If you empty the cooler, we will let you know then.
