The Galapagos Islands. "Las Islas Encantadas"

These Enchanted Islands are located on the Equator, approximately 560 miles off the coast of Ecuador. The principal language in the Galapagos is Spanish and they use the American Dollar. This exotic archipelago consists of 18 major islands, 3 smaller islands, and 107 rocks and islets, of which, only 4 of these islands are accessible to surf. These four islands include Santa Cruz, San Cristobal, Isabela, and  Floreana. Ou r tours are based on San Cristobal.

These beautiful islands became a UNESCO world heritage in 1978 after decades of conservation efforts, creating a national park that spans almost 98% of the archipelago. Even though much of the coastlines and terrain are protected under this legislature and access is prohibited to surfers and tourists alike, there still exists miles and miles of accessible wave rich coastline that often goes un-surfed.
